How we rank SCPs in this facility

SCP Facility Experience mixes Foundation exploration, containment duty, and co-op survival horror inspired by SCP: Containment Breach. Contained anomalies include familiar numbers such as 096, 106, 173, 035, 049, 008, 009, 294, 409, 457, 500, 6551, and more. A smaller set is playable—currently SCP-035 and SCP-049-2, with additional kits planned.

This hub is the map to our rankings. The detailed board lives on SCP Tier List, where we separate:

  1. Survivor threat — how dangerous an anomaly is when you are human staff / MTF-style players during exploration, blackouts, and containment breaches.
  2. Playable fun / power — how satisfying and strong a kit feels when you play as an SCP with the special attack bind (F / Y).

Tiers use a simple S / A / B / C scale. Rankings blend classic SCP lore expectations with what the Roblox listing and in-game roster emphasize. They are guidance for learning priority targets—not absolute PvP gospel—because K.M.T Studio can rebalance AI, hitboxes, or abilities in any patch (track changes on Updates).

Why tier lists matter here

New players often die to the wrong threat first. SCP-173 punishes players who forget to blink (B / L2). SCP-096 punishes curious faces. SCP-106 turns geometry into a death sentence if you panic into corners. Knowing which entities demand instant callouts helps co-op groups—especially when friend cash bonuses encourage you to stay alive longer together.

On the flip side, if you unlock a playable SCP, you want to know whether you are picking a pressure monster or a niche pick. Our Players Hub deep-dives kits; the tier list summarizes the meta snapshot.

How to use tiers during a run

Before a breach: agree who watches high-S threats and who carries lights / NV duty.

During a blackout: assume mobility and vision-denial threats spike in danger even if their lore tier is middling—call every sighting.

When playing as SCP: pick the kit that matches your preferred playstyle (ambush vs chase) rather than only chasing the top letter grade. Fun tiers exist so you do not force yourself into a kit you hate.

After patches: revisit this hub. New contained SCPs or balance changes can shuffle mid-tiers quickly. Halloween or seasonal modifiers (see Halloween Event) can also change how often you encounter certain set pieces without rewriting lore threat forever.

Criteria cheat sheet

LensS-tier meansC-tier means
Survivor threatFrequently ends runs if ignored; needs hard countersManageable with basic awareness
Playable funStrong pressure, clear identity, high skill expressionLimited tools or situational maps

We weight information hazards, mobility, one-shot potential, and counterplay clarity. Anomalies that teach good habits (look away, blink, stick together) may rank high on threat even when experienced groups handle them cleanly.
